ご覧いただきありがとうございます！ドール活に関する気まぐれなブログです。ある日、ボケ防止のためブログを始めようと思い・・・そこで最近ハマってるのは「ドール」ということでドールブログにしました。スーパードルフィー やドルフィードリーム、たまにリカちゃんやジェニーやバービーなど、何かしらのドールについて勝手に語りたいと思います。
「ClariNette」という名前は、ロンドンとパリで上演された19世紀初頭のオペラの登場人物であるClariと、ドイツでいくつかの小川の共通名であるNetteの合わせ言葉です。
クラリは、裕福な公爵を魅了した美しく活発な田舎娘でした。男爵は彼女を豪邸に連れて行ったものの、彼が結婚するつもりがないことに彼女は気づきました。そこでなんとか逃げて村に戻ったが、父親に歓迎されるどころか、侮辱されてしまいました。幸いに、男爵は目覚め、彼女なしでは生きていけないことに気づき、追いかけて求婚しました。その後、夫婦としてずっと幸せに暮らしていくことに。はちゃめちゃの末ハッピーエンドですね！
なう、ドイツには「おもちゃの街」ニュルンベルクがあります。人形愛好家の間では、ドイツの職人たちが 16 世紀から 20 世紀初頭まで、最も豪華で高く評価されたドールハウスを製造していたことが知られています。
従って、「ClariNette」という名は、私が大好きなものを祝う総称です。人形顔の美女、オペラやクラシック音楽、伝統あるドールハウスやミニチュア家具、小川が流れる穏やかな田園風景…あ、それと、学生の頃吹奏楽団でクラリネットを演奏していました（昔話です！笑）

Welcome to ClariNette Dollhouse!
~ dolls, dolls and more dolls, dolls and only dolls ~
I’m growing old, closer now to 60 than 30, and some days I worry my brain is atrophying at a terrifying pace. I read somewhere that one way to keep the brain active is to write creatively, so this blog is my attempt to begin writing once again. I used to love to write as a young person, but somewhere down the line life got in the way and for the past decades I read far more than I wrote. Well, no excuse now as I feel I need to battle senility before it becomes a real problem.
For the past few years I’ve been into dolls as a hobby. I especially love the Volks Super Dollfie and Dollfie Dream dolls, so this blog will be mostly about them, mixed every now and then with Takara’s Licca-chan and Jenny dolls, and Mattel Barbies, too, among others.
The name ‘ClariNette’ is a portmanteau of Clari, a character in an early 19th-century opera shown in London and Paris, and Nette, the shared name of several small rivers in Germany.
Clari was a beautiful, spirited country girl who caught the eye of a wealthy Duke. He takes her to his mansion, where it dawns on her that he has no intention of marrying her. Clari manages to escape and return to her village, but her father, instead of welcoming back the prodigal daughter, slut-shames her. Fortunately, the Duke, bereft of her presence, finally sees the light and concedes he can’t live without her, so he proposes and they get married, living happily ever after.
Germany, of course, is home to the ‘toy city’ of Nürnberg (Nuremberg). We doll lovers know German miniature companies produced the most gorgeous, highly-valued doll’s houses from the 16th-century up until the early 20th-century.
Thus, the name ‘ClariNette’ is a celebration of things I love: doll-faced beauties, opera, classic doll’s houses, lovely little rivers flowing through the countryside … Oh, also, I played the clarinet for the school marching band back in the day (many, many years ago, *sigh*)
